TLDR
Lithuania was initially the thinnest financial thread connecting Epstein to any investigating country — approximately EUR 90,000 in confirmed wire transfers to two entities directed by one person. On March 17, 2026, it became the first of five countries and thirty congressional offices to respond: Prosecutor Aurelijus Navickas confirmed materials were attached to an active criminal case file (Panevezys Regional Prosecutor's Office, 2026). Both wires are now T2 — confirmed in the DOJ-released corpus with Bates numbers, IBAN codes, and a bank statement.
Two Wires, Now Confirmed
The EUR 75,000 wire to UAB Fors Projektai exists in three corpus copies (EFTA01365100, EFTA01365793, EFTA01409890), authorized by Darren Indyke on behalf of J. Epstein Virgin Islands Foundation Inc., dated January 20, 2017, to SEB Bank Vilnius (PAPER TRAIL Project, 2026a). The wire to NPO Baleto Teatras exists as a Deutsche Bank Authorization for Asset Movement from Gratitude America Ltd. (EFTA01362207), confirmed by a bank statement showing execution on April 3, 2018: EUR 15,000 at an exchange rate of 1.23618562, totaling $18,542.78 (PAPER TRAIL Project, 2026a).
The original blog (March 10, 2026) cited the Baleto Teatras wire as $28,000 based on LRT reporting (LRT, 2026). Corpus validation on March 18, 2026, contradicted this figure. The bank statement shows $18,542.78 — a $9,457.22 discrepancy that the corpus documents do not explain. The LRT figure is superseded by the Deutsche Bank record.
Both transfers route through USVI foundations — J. Epstein Virgin Islands Foundation Inc. and Gratitude America Ltd. — to Lithuanian organizations directed by Valdas Petreikis. The authorization chain is documented: Indyke authorized Wire 1; Wire 2 was initiated after Petreikis emailed Richard Kahn (HBRK Associates) with Baleto Teatras banking details on April 2, 2018 (PAPER TRAIL Project, 2026a).
The $3 Million Bequest
Epstein's last will and testament — signed August 8, 2019, forty-eight hours before his death — bequeathed $3 million to Simona Petreike (PAPER TRAIL Project, 2026b). This is the single largest named bequest in the estate. Her family has publicly stated the bequest was refused. A bequest is a stated intention, not a completed transaction — and a refused bequest has no financial effect. But the $3 million figure, combined with EUR 90,000 in business entity transfers, indicates a relationship that extended beyond casual acquaintance.
The First Response
On March 17, 2026, the Panevezys Regional Prosecutor's Office (Organized Crime and Corruption Investigation Division) formally acknowledged receipt of citizen-submitted corpus analysis. The response, signed by Prosecutor Aurelijus Navickas with a qualified electronic signature, confirmed that materials were "attached to the criminal case materials and forwarded for evaluation to the pre-trial investigation institution" (Panevezys Regional Prosecutor's Office, 2026).
The division assignment — Organized Crime and Corruption — classifies the Epstein network as organized crime of an international nature, aligning with Poland's Investigation Team No. 5 classification. Five countries were contacted on March 5, 2026. Lithuania, the smallest economy and the thinnest financial thread, is the only entity that responded.
What Changed
The original blog called Lithuania "the thinnest financial thread" with T3 evidence drawn from LRT journalism. Three things changed. First, both wires were independently confirmed in the DOJ-released corpus (T2), with Bates numbers, IBAN codes, SWIFT codes, and a Deutsche Bank execution record. Second, the LRT-reported $28,000 figure was contradicted by corpus data showing $18,542.78. Third, a named prosecutor confirmed that the analytical materials are part of an active criminal file (Panevezys Regional Prosecutor's Office, 2026).
The thread is no longer thin. It is documented with primary source banking records from Deutsche Bank's grand jury production, and a government has acted on it.
